What should I do on the day of my class? For preferably 24 hours or a minimum of 8 hours prior to class, please refrain from wearing any lotions or oils. This will transfer to the poles and make students like yourself slip off the pole. Leave rings at home as these could damage the pole or your fingers. On the day of class drink plenty of water and fuel up with some good food!
-
Do I need to be strong to start? No way! We are here to BUILD your strength, endurance and flexibility. Do not feel discouraged to start because you feel you're "not ready"... you are ready! Beginner classes are full of people trying out this new, challenging way of moving- so you're not alone! Our teachers and fellow students are extremely encouraging which gives our space an empowering energy! *Be prepared for possible bruising while your body gets used to the movements and new stresses on the skin. This does go away with time and consistency.

What do I wear?In pole we use skin contact to stick to the pole so showing the legs and arms is essential. The most important thing is that you feel confident and comfortable! We suggest: For Pole L1 or similar classes Bottoms: short athletic shorts, bikini bottoms, pole bottoms, that cute lacy number you just got, or anything in between! The most important thing is your upper thighs need to be exposed. Tops: A bodysuit, sports bra, tank top, tshirt, whatever! Just no long sleeves. For feet: we suggest starting barefoot but bring socks in case you need to slide. If you have worn platform heels before feel free to being them. Intro to Choreo / other choreo classes For choreo we can use as much or as little clothing as we want since we wont need to stick to the pole. Good ideas to bring are: shorts, leggings, sweats, bikini, oversized t-shirt, a cute lingerie set, bodysuit, anything youd like to feel like your best self! Its a good idea to get knee pads but if you dont have any yet we have some to borrow! For feet: we suggest bringing socks (ankle, knee high or thigh high is all great) and if you have platform heels you can wear those! We also have donated heels for students to borrow during classes for free!
